Meet the Vander Laan Family! This session was a fly-at-the-seat-of-my-pants session, praying that the weather would hold out just long enough to get the full time in. It started to sprinkle during a little, but it actually wasn’t too bad. It was so hot and sticky so the light drizzle was wonderful to cool us down a bit. We moved to a field nearby to continue our session and get some different shots. This is where I thought I would take out my new pretty gold chair. I set it down and heard a snap!!! I looked down and realized one of the legs broke… I was super devastated, since this was going to be perfect for this session! But, a ray of sunshine poked through and we were able to rig something together to make it work- the kiddos and even dad was able to sit on it anyways!

But don’t worry, if you love the chair it will be back in business by Monday, my wonderful husband is going to fix it for me. I couldn’t have asked for a more patient and easy-going family, I hope to see them again soon!
